Description

  General Takeru Genji also known as Prince Osu is the leader and rightful heir of a fearless tribe of plains peoples whom Jugo calls kin, named the Genji Clan situated in Kusagakure from the Land of Souls. There they roamed the pastures raising animals while cursed to prowl the wilds like maddened beasts. At a young age when his clan was decimated, Takeru was taken to a far off continent of iron clad knights and Western men. There he rose to become their most vicious warrior and general but, he soon learned the truth of his bloody origins. A truth revealed, that the very throne he now served was responsible for his ruined clan, kidnapping, and subsequent brainwashing. After then betraying his adoptive people he returned home to reclaim his lost heritage and compile a force that could resist their coming conquest. He is known as the Bamboo Tiger or as his village's Tamakage meaning the Soul Shadow.

  I imagine the people from the Land of Souls in general are much more spiritual in nature than we have seen previously but in a much more animistic way. Kusagakure often requests the assistance of other villages because they lack military strength however, they would have shamans in place of traditional ninja. This is somewhat influenced by the name of the Land and there lays a great presence and coalescence of natural energy pervading the area comparatively. The Genji Clan Jugo hails from have over time adapted to passively absorb this energy and many other resident clans have also learned to harness its power in strange ways. Perhaps the cultures there emulate the Ainu people of Hokkaido in northern Japan or maybe they are more like tough plainsmen like historical Mongolia. The Genji Clan itself is a relatively large extended family from Kusagakure. They live in smaller nomadic tribes in contrast to the many farmers common to the country. Though the Genji are admittedly savage in nature, they are also quite noble of mind and bearing.

  Essentially he becomes a whirlwind of an ever shifting chemical repository with none of Jugo's drawbacks. Thanks to his manipulation of both natural energy and body, hardened constitution and skill, as well as Wood Release he should be able to silence the beast within just like Yamato. He could seed and grow a forest playground to fill with various animal summons, wood clones, and monstrous plant creatures. Other abilities allow him to go anywhere unseen as the perfect ninja predator using trickery or stealth to dispatch enemies. He's deadly at any range underground or underwater, but in close combat...he's a literal demon. Sure hes powerful but I always thought of him as prime spinoff material or at least a sixth ranger at the eleventh hour type of guy, a third player to contrast Naruto and Sasuke. What exact timeframe he comes from I have no idea.

  Pre-Genin: Even at a young age before being a genin, he is a master of the Body Flicker Technique able to cover distances in such speed as it seems he is teleporting and appearing out of nowhere. At his peak speed unaugmented, he rivals the Yellow Flash or Shisui in speed. In terms of basic Jutsu he is also specialized in Transformations particularly into animals or different creatures not unlike the Monkey King, he could also Substitute many different stone statues and plants.

  Genin: Overall, he was regarded as one of the greatest practitioners of Taijutsu taking advantage of his natural physical prowess and burgeoning lifeforce. He has even developed his own fighting style called the Savage Fist which utilizes the shapeshifting capabilities of standard Transformation, Beast Mimicry, and Sage Transformation in conjunction with Eight Gates, Sensory Arts, and Welcoming Approach to enhance my senses, reach, and general power. It's unrelenting ferocious strikes in unison with his other techniques dramatically increase his speed, reflexes, strength, stamina, and durability. He can move like an animal faster than the eye can follow or tear through and demolish through walls of carbon steel. Yet, the lynchpin to the fighting style is in using its heightened senses and minor shapeshifting to counter and decimate enemies, relying on his awareness to quickly locate and neutralize. Mastery of such a technique allows experts like him to open all Eight Gates with less risk of injury. With his ability to take on animal features including claws and fangs, he is dangerous in close combat and happens to be a natural prodigy at the Drunken Fist as well.

  Chunin: With his family relic the Mantle of the Beast Lord, it grants Dustless Bewilderment Cover which makes him a consummate invisible hunter as he can completely conceal his presence from smell, sight, and sound even from most sensory types. This along with other techniques allow him to disappear like a ghost. Though he has normally heightened senses he is allowed an even more enhanced Sensory Type with the Mantle allowing him to view chakra and natural energy or even identify Jutsu and people at a distance. Another secondary boon is the power to make contracts with multiple spirits and animals then Summoning and commanding them before him. This would be impressive on its own if not for his also improved capability to Summon numerous animals at once with ridiculous amounts of power to each of them. The great chakra beast whose spirit still resides has reserved it for those who can quell and tame the monster that dwells within themselves.

  Jonin: His unique Kekkei Genkai is the Sage Transformation which is derived from his clan the same as Jugo. The Genji Clan is notable for their adaptations to natural energy and the effects on their body. Through Sage Transformation he can mold his physiology to match other weapons or form biological armaments. It is his signature ability that is used in unison with his other abilities and synergizes extremely well with his weaknesses alleviating almost all of them. Though still prone to bloodthirsty rage at times, surrounding himself with chakra controlling Wood Style can help alleviate any strain. He can even learn to assimilate other biomass into himself to heal any injury, taking its traits to permanently strengthen him, and acquiring new abilities. At his worst this can manifest as literally devouring his target. At this point, he is so adept at using Senjutsu and Welcoming Approach that he can weave natural energy around him and even talk to animals. This manipulation of natural energy can be harnessed as a fuel source and ammunition for his shapeshifted biological armaments or into a chakra cloak. It can then be transformed into any one of his nature styles including poison, acid, oil, water, mud, explosive energy, and other chemical substances. It's not unlike a spirit gun or kamehameha of condensed swirling natural energy and chakra.

  Nature Transformations: His include Earth, Water, Oil, Mud, Poison, and best of all Wood. His original nature type is Earth and it shows as he is capable of erecting and shaping stone to a considerable degree and size. He will often escape or attack from underground, decreasing its integrity and effortlessly digging through it. Though he technically is also able to use Water Style it is not his favored type of attack depending on where he is fighting. Oil, Mud, and Poison Style comes from his altered physiology allowing him to excrete flammable gases and liquids, inert chemicals, slimes, clay, acids, toxins, wax, silk, glue, rubber, cement, hallucinogens, aphrodisiacs, and healing concoctions. It is a style mainly relegated to when he is operating stealthily or is forced to act creatively in a fight. Still one of his greatest assets is his Wood Style that he uses in the long range at an overwhelming capacity like the first Hokage. It works in conjunction with his other abilities to provide him with extra energy reserves and limited healing abilities. He can also use Wood Release to travel underground through a network of plants and water or gain increased regeneration similarly possessed by Hashirama.
