This took a while to finish
but it's finally done! It is a mix between Prismacolor markers and colored pencils. It took a couple weeks and a lot of patience 
...Sorry for the crappiness... The scanner BUTCHERED the vibrant blues... -_-*

Beautiful use of shades of blues, I love the large shadow masses and the subtle shifts in color. The mix of pencil and marker worked wonderfully. I love the flow of the image how shadows meld and shift in form and the detail in the image is wonderful. His eyes came out beautifully and I love the feather that is falling with the soft blue glow it stands out wonderfully against the darkness of his wing.

O.O the sky's so pretty. i can never get the sky to come out so smooth and prettyful. how did you do it? i love the blue shading on his face and everything, and the glowyness of the corner symbols, and the shading of the wings. all the shading! *dance* one day i shall read all of your stories and be a rabid little fangirl. and like one day well both be working in japan and ill run into you and be like OMG give me your autograph! its like 8 oclock in the morning. why am i this hyper? ><

Glad you like him 
I use prismacolor pencils to color. I press pretty hard, just not hard enough to break the pencil lead. Then, as I want to meld the colors together--such as black and blue--, I begin to soften my pressing. I soften it until the color is nearly gone (the space between the solid color and the nearly gone one should be at least 1-2 inches). I do the same with the other color and then meld them together at the middle. Easy.
Well, I certainly hope I could be an animator one day for a nice Jap' Anime company... But lately it seems my freams are flosting farther and farther away from reality... They've nearly disappeared now so I'm pretty down... My parents would never send me to an anime college outside of the country, much less on the other side of the world! The chances of me ever becoming my dream...the promises...nearly all dissipated... The hope is nearly gone now, and I haven't dealt well with it... I suppose I am just not destined to be an animator... But...if I am...I will be very pleased with my life. Right now I'm just stressed with it -_-"...
Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, if you can... I would greatly appreciate it...

With your talent you could maybe get a scholarship and even if you don't go to a college over there, after college it's still possible to get a job there. I'll be praying for you. ^^
