Description
This is an update to the old Guardians cover (though I am thinking about changing the name), for the novel version I'm writing.
I had to rush it, as I used it as an art project. This is meant to be a slightly less cartoony, more realistic version.

An almost direct reference (at least for the mid section of the face) was used in this, from a picture I took myself.
EDIT: I am not discontinuing the comic!

The font reminds me of Narnia somehow. But the cover is awesome. These blue eyes alone put so much mysthic in it...

TG ur not killing off this comic... too many artists quit theirs and it always breaks my heart to see them give up on their stories and characters
...... But i am very happy to see that you have not done that! And i will definitely buy it.... beautiful cover and absolutely intriuging story

i think you should change it because guardians is used wayyy too much as the title to stories! and i love love love this cover as well

Amazing job Lauren! The details of this are incredible. If I may make a tiny suggestion, it would be to add some more details to the nose and blend in to his fur a bit so that the eyes pop out more. Right now my eyes kind of are split between going to his eyes and nose due to the smooth and vibrant pink. Very excited to see you working on this again!

Totally understandable, and especially amazing picture rushed job or not! I especially love the fur detailing on the nose bridge,and how it adds dimension set against the blended outer fur.

I am glad to hear that you are continuing your comic, I enjoyed following it. I know you are not looking for a critique, and this cover is AMAZING, really fantastic. The only thing that stands out to me however is his nose, I feel like it just doesn't have the texture and realism of the rest of the piece which makes it feel flat and pasted on top. Regardless on whether or not you touch that up it is a great cover. Good job.

Those eyes! So beautiful. It really pulls you in and makes you wonder what the book is about. I love everything about this, even down to the smallest detail in the fur. You say you rushed it? From the look of this I'd say it would have taken you a day or two.. How long did it actually take you?

x3 Oh my even longer than I thought! You can really tell you took care in what you did even if you say parts you rushed. You must have a lot of patience to spend so much time on the smaller details, it looks almost like a photograph. How many layers did you use if you don't mind me asking.
