Bloody AMAZING. I grovel at your feet! The detail is brilliant. Nick and Dave look perfect. And I really love all the Floydian things you managed to incorporate at the bottom...A collection of great inside references, if I can make a poor pun. Really, fantastic work. I'm adding this to my favourites.

Sounds awesome. I'm just getting into working on art (since I started going for my BFA) and so I haven't done any art dealing with my favorite bands. I would love to do something with Pink Floyd (relating to lyrics and specifically The Wall). Maybe when I have more time this summer(they are keeping me pretty busy during the school year.) Now that I'm working on my skills and the use of different mediums, I can begin to explore them and create art that has a personal connection/meaning. Can't wait
I'll keep an eye out for you're work, keep up the Pink Floyd stuff haha

thank you for watching
..i'll stay tuned to yours also...gosh!..if i think about it toomuch must admit i would get a lock up in my thoughts for that sensation sometimes that there's so much i'd like to paint, with this kind of medium or this other ones..learn and explore them!
...it's like i've seen some illustrations they did with computer graphics for one of stephen king's novel called the dark tower...and they just blew me away..they also seem to be done with PS.!..
I think they should be in his website...oh.here it is..i found the link to the author

you love pink floyd!!! wow...how awesomely unusual!..lol...i have so many songs i like from them, especially from their albums the wall, dark side of the moon, delicate sound of thunder, momentary lapse of reason, meddle, division bell and animals..lol...listening to their songs during the execution of this really helped!!
--- okay..i'll have another sushi since u insist..

I love Pink Floyd so much that I'm wearing a Pink Floyd hoodie right now. Heeheehee... how is it awesomely unusual though? I mean, I think that's great! I'm just asking out of curiousity. That's great that you're a fan. Always nice to meet more fans! ^_^ Greatness!
Have all the sushi that your sushi-loving heart desires!!!!!!!!! ^_^

Akifan In reply to LyndseyLittle [2006-02-22 01:10:03 +0000 UTC]
oh..the reason being is because pink floyd is from the seventies era..lol.. I listened to it for the first time in 89, when dad recorded on this thingie called cassettes from the radio the aired concert of delicate sound of thunder, shine on you crazy diamond was at that moment, and the song just like capured me...the syntethized strings, the vocals, the guitar..!!!
i was hooked!!...and I didn't care that it was basically music from my folks's time..lol..so it's kinda really cool that you and young people your age actually do like pink floyd!!..lol...I have to confess i also like beatles...lol..if you check this link from my journal, here's my cd collection...well most of it..cuz dad left all the rap cd's in indy..lol.. [link] ....and thanks for all the sushi rolls!..could u pass me the soy sauce?? lol

LyndseyLittle In reply to Akifan [2006-02-22 02:13:41 +0000 UTC]
heeheeheehee... ^_^ Well, I listen to all sorts of music. Rush, Bob Marley, My Chemical Romance, Coldplay, Aerosmith, Jamie Cullum, Frank Sinatra, Enya, etc. ^_^ "on this thingie called cassettes".... heeheehee... I love the enthusiasm you put into your story. S'great! ^_^
But I like the Beatles too. ^_^ Like I said, I listen to all types. I never got into rap very much though. Or country... but I do admit, that growing up, that's all my mom and stepdad listened to, and naturally I did as well. Thankfully, my dad exposed me to rock.
You're very welcome! But I'm sad to tell you... there is no more soy sauce... -_-

no more sauce!!??!
aaaaaaaaaaaawwww maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!....oh well, oh well, then I'll just put some tabasco on it instead
..lol...andyay too for Coldplay and aerosmith...I saw coldplay on a concert back in april of 2005..it was amazing the intro and the whole show!!!...the lights were out, everything was dark and it was a huge crowd, really packed, and we heard all these syntethized strings and chords, the beginning part of Politik!!!...woowwoow and then it started..it gives me shivers just to remember it..country huh??..hehe..oh well, i have to admit, I got to know a few songs while I lived in indianapolis, especially from Shania Twain and Rascal Flatts..now the only kind of rap i used to listen (which i dont' believe in but find amusing because of all he says and sound effects) was eminem's..lol... now this looks like a job for me, so everybody just follow me cuz we need a little controversy, it'll be so empty without me....
I'm not really into the gangsta rap thing...ugh..lol...especially because i used to live close to a getto area...

tabasco tabasco...
0_0 You... saw... Coldplay... LUCKY!!!!! ^_^ I love getting chills from music.... music that I really love... it has SUCH an impact on me. Hmmm... if Norah Jones is considered as country to some, then I like that... well, whatever she is, I love her music. I can't think of any country music that I like. *tilts head to side* Country accents annoy me. And whiny whiny music with lyrics about tractors and hunting and such. But, that's what I listened to other than rock, growing up. It's not as if I could have stopped it from happening though, living in Georgia. The only time I listened to rap, was for a short while, when one of my younger brothers was listening to it. He changes favorite types of music like one would regularly change clothes. It kills me. Eminem and Vanilla Ice were the only ones he listened to, I think... but I liked some of Eminem's lyrics.

ooh...vanilla ice ice baby!!..*turns the bass all the way up on the stereo lol* yo'...V.i.p..let's kick it!!.....alright stop!..collaborate and listen..ice is back with a brand new invention....ok ok...get a grip on myself
sheez..you're so cool to talk to..hehe...well, that's another raper i do remember..even think that he must have been eminem's favorite back then in the 92's since he's always trashing him too in his lyrics... well I dunno if you've seen the movie of officespace, they did had some funny music there..lol...my favorite part was when they destroy a fax machine..lol..Georgia huh??...that's from where Willie Nelson is I think...
...whiny music about tractors and hunting!!!
oh maaan..right smack in the middle you described it perfectly!!...lol...it's like those jokes they have about a mom telling her daughter..."sorry Peggy Sue, u can't marry billy bob cuz he's your half-brother" and things of the sort...I thought Norah Jones is kinda like a crossover country-bluegrass and jazz kinda...yeah the second album has a bit of country like tang...as opposed to her first one...almost as if you could be listening the come away album in new york and the second one in memphis...heehee.... but Norah is Norah!..THE NORAH JONES!!!
..and wow!! double faint!!
I still hope one day I can get her to autograph my color pencil portrait..that would be far out!!!

Heeheehee... wow! You have it memorized, do you? Greatness. ^_^ I remember something about... "eating spaghetti with a spoon..."? Do you have any earthly clue as to what I'm talking about? ^_^;
Eminem was trashing him? I haven't seen Officespace. What's that all about?
I don't know if Willie Nelson is from here or not. I don't know much about him at all, really. ^_^;
Yay! Perfect description! That description also replies to rednecks. ^_^ (shudder)
Heeheehee... around here, that's an Alabama joke. It gets a little mean. ^_^; "Why are you yelling at me?! I'm not in Alabama!" That's what my *cough* redneck *cough* stepfather says sometimes.
Yeah... whatever Norah Jones, is, I like her. And I decided that I don't look like her, by the way. ^_^;
That would be awesome!!!!!!! And I would be so jealous of you!!! Just playing. ^_^ I don't know if I would be jealous or not but I know that WOULD be awesome if she did do that..

well, vanilla ice's it's a song that hasnt gone away from my mind I guess..heehee..sometimes when i'm driving or doing stuff and noone can be bugged by my singing..i sing bits and pieces of songs i have memorized..lol..the thing i remember of spaghetti was eight's mile soundtrack....*mah's spaghetti, but on the surface he looks calm and ready...oup there goes sanity.*...Eminem trashes vanilla ice in the song purple pills...and a couple of other ones...one of his hood'buddies sings that he's going to switch to singing country instead of rap..lol... officespace is with jennifer aniston, its about this environment of your typical workaholic office...and how the people end up getting fed up with all their low salary high hours situation...lol...oh I used to hear a lot of jokes a friend of mine sent me of rednecks and also blondes...fun stuff...anyhow, well...hope you post your picture sometime soon, so i can start working on your pencil portrait!!
