Me a ladiesman?? hahahahaha.. ...not really (for all i know, if I ever meet a real one soon, I'll be faithful and respectful, just like I've always been )...I've been single for almost 3 years now hehe...but a lot of my inspiration for drawing portraits came from someone I met some time ago...I began drawing her face by memory..then again and again until I did a portrait very close to how she looks like...those memories also made me write about 40 pages hehe..oh well.. inspiration works funny I guess... floydianfreak count me in...for HOW CAN you have any puddin' if you dooont eat your meat!!!....???? but PINK FLOYD is da shizzle for shuree!!

I though i was obssessed but it's much better now...it was a little love actually...hm , not trying to push the story on you, but if you're curious, you're more than welcome to check the journal I did here in deviant at this [link] i put some links to those writes, the sketches and a poem that kinda wraps the whole story of this girl i met in august of 2002...hehe... Who is really good too...i think they did the one called Opera Tommy right??...my dad has that Cd..and others of zepellin, joplin, george harrison, iron butterfly and jethro tull ...don't get depressed...just draw, doodle or write..i know it's easier said than done..but you're very young and when you least expect it you'll find a significant other..but the first thing is that you don't get sad and let darkness sink in...love yourself..and then all should be better...one day at a time

Bass is a really cool instrument, wish you the best and i'm sure you'll rock with it.. I can't play any instrument..so i'll have to just write or draw about music hehehe..still i'm always impressed at how people can extract awesome cool notes from pianos, guitars, trumpets, flutes, drums and keyboards, to me it's just mystery... ...well, gotta catch some sleep..thanks again for the fav and devwatch!! be safe!

i actualy play flute ( my main instrument) wich i played for 7 years, bass (years and a half) trumpett, a couple of month, i'm beginning french horn, little bit of piano...
one thing i hate is that i can't improvise, jsut give me a usic sheet, i'll play it right away, people tell me to play anything to go with his guitar, i'm like...hum...he... is that a D you'r playing... *pulls up flute...then down*...hum...i don't know...
i hate it! lol

(I'm still laughing at the funny quote you got from that 70's show...quite hilarious and well said ) ...MERCI beaucoup FOR BOTH THE FAVOR and the awesome comment ...I'm glad that you liked the drawing and I was quite relieved when I finished it that the portraits resembled Wright, Waters, Mason and Gilmour...plus managed to cram all the stuff below from their lyrics and album covers... I would have wanted to include a pig, a cow and battery park of chicago as in animals but run out of space. thankies again

wow, fantastic picture, i love the way you have used the prism image as the only colour on it. I also love Pink Floyd, just wish my drawing skills were as up to scratch as yours. *puts Echos on* I am working on a review of a Tribute concert i went to recently, so i should have that to come soon. So all in all...great work. (that all in all thing was not intensional, i just kinda put it, but i guess now i have put '...' in it is)

LOL ..thanks a lot for your comment, man...I was a little dubious initially about using actual colors on the prism and was planning of simply, shading them with the pencil in a gradient like way...but I printed out the scan and messed with it before touching the original, and I actually liked the effect, like a focal point that fixes the piece and around which everything else starts unravelling based on their song lyrics, album covers and their portraits from the DSOTMoon album. The centre bird, an albatross (that might look a little like a seagull hehe) was based on precisely that 'echoes' song from meddle... and I remember a little the concept used on their pulse album..where an iris has all this elements around it....I had a lot of fun doing this, (actually was listening to pinky about 80 percent of the time i spent doing this ) ..oh i get it now on the 'all in all' part.. ... like the song.... "all in all you're just a...another brick in the wall..." .... well, like the teacher said.. " if you dooooon't eat your meat..you caaaan't have any puuuuuudiiiiiiiiinng...howw can you have any puuuudiiing if you doooon't eat your meat??!!" ... oh well, you can tell I like pink floyd also..thanks again and cheerio!

hehe, yeah when writing my review i always have Pink Floyd playing, just reminds me of certain lines i can include and generaly gets me in the mood. Well as i said before the colour thing really works, i used similar technique when i did a drawing once, i think that was just because i was going to colour it in, in a variety of ways. But oh well. For me it was around 1991 when dad spent almost half the night awake waiting for a radio broadcast of 'delicate sound of thunder' to record the concert on 2 cassettes. I began listening to them and I was hooked just like 'another brick inthe wall' they're great indeed! thanks again for stopping by.

First I listen to "Atom Heart Mother", "Ummagumma" and "Animals". I got a pink "Animal" LP and was very proud of it. But the Album I loved most was "Wish you were here". I bought it with a poster from the Mono Lake. I listen to it every day. Until now I know every note. And so I'm a great fan for 26 years. Thank you for your very nice drawing. I had to stop by!

that album of 'wish you were here' rocks...i had never heard all the parts of sine on your crazy diamond until i listened to that album...onlyknew the intro part from delicate sound of thunder.... one of my alltime favorites is 'the great gig in the sky' that singer has an excellent voice and pitch variation...so full of emotion like...on newer concerts where they've played that song I don't think have been as well sounding as that recording from dark side of the moon. ... piano or guitar is not for me , can't figure how can you get all those sounds out..so that's awesome that you know the notes!

i only had about two months of guitar in college...we worked with chords I think..but it must be awesome once you 'memorize' and train where you want toput your fingers to get the right tunes, in the right sequence and timing... i remember my fingers were very sore in the beginning...especially on the thinner metal wires..

Oh yes, the thinner wires are really sharp. I don't have horny skin on my fingers, because I don't play guitar any more. I could, but I love it more to draw or paint and listen to good music. My "music-time" lasts 20 years ago.

A lot of the bands from that era did that. Jethro Tull, Electric Light Orchestra, Deep Purple, even Led Zeppelin. They were all awesome like that. I was into choir at the time so I could really appreciate that. Plus my aunt was really into those bands and I liked whatever she liked. My aunt is only 5 years older than I am.

glad you liked it ...and thanks for stopping by this 'pinkie' drawing. My dad thought of them as a progressive-rock band, that's where I came up with the denomination..when I asked him why he thought that he told me that because of the different styles and rhythms they combine with their songs, they don't just use a continuous 4-beat or 3-beat, same chorus chord and repetition, but rather tempo changes, sound effects, sampling and their style can change dramatically within the songs in every album. I truly like them too, listening to the live concert of Delicate sound of thunder, 'they grew on me'
