Update: new studies suggest that the star is older than the Sun.This image is part of a series of updated renderings of the TRAPPIST-1 system.
This picture shows TRAPPIST-1 b, the innermost planet of the system. Being the closest planet to the star, it offers a unique view on the other planets. Here, four planets can be seen. From left to right there is: TRAPPIST-1 g (5.086 million km away), TRAPPIST-1 e (2.543 million km away), TRAPPIST-1 f (3.889 million km away) and TRAPPIST-1 c (598,000 km away).
