Time for some dramatic lighting practice!

Hello everyone! Today I present a piece that was originally a sketch on Patreon that I decided to clean up and finish, and OH BOY DO I LOVE IT!

Time for some more LOORE

I imagine Talon’s forms to be like a split personality sorta thing, but not quite. Her two sides are very similar yet different in terms of their appearance and hostility levels. Talon as a regular cat, is usually very standoffish and quiet most of the time. The only exceptions being when she’s around Petal, or by herself. Because she has major trust issues and inner trauma that prevents her from creating any bonds with others, she tends to prefer being alone where it’s quiet and peaceful for her (in other words, the only time she feels safe.)

Her Wolf form however, is what happens when you take all of her mental struggles and essentially turn it into its own being. So not the best time to be around her to say the least!
She’s for the most part, unable to control her actions during this time, only listening to her emotions and taking them out on the first thing she sees, which resulted in a lot of accidents when she was young. Only when someone is bold enough to calm her down, will she stop to think about her actions. Most of the time though, she will only pursue what had caused her the pain to turn her into her inner monster, and take it to the extreme. Once her goal is complete, she tends to become tired and emotionally exhausted, swapping back to her cat form and usually passing out for a bit.

It takes a lot to ramp her up to that level however, and it usually only lasts for at most 10 minutes. She had a lot of difficulty getting her emotions under control as a kitten, and struggled with a lot of pent up anger and anxiety towards her parents for treating her as they did. So the cycle would repeat until she eventually became so emotionally distant from herself, that she found it best to not feel anything instead of risk being what she feared she truly was: a monster. Resulting in her cold and distant attitude towards everyone, except 2 cats.

WHEW! That was a lot of story to cram in one post, if you somehow managed to read all that, you get a gold star!⭐️

I hope you guys enjoyed this little story time with my girl Talon, she was the 2nd character ever created in the Fading Light universe, (first being hornetstripe) so she’s very near and dear to my heart!
