Waking up to scents,Of dead roses in the air.
Can’t stay where i am suppose to belong,
In the shadows, but there is no where else I have left to go.
The distance I can no longer see,
A reminiscence I can bare no longer
and search out for you.
Ages passing and I am withered.
Waking up hoping I could go back now, but time denies me.
I can hear you through passing whispers,
Are you even there to hear my screams?
Thought to many times you would come back for me,
Save me from the demons living off me.
Haven’t yet found out if these things were meant to be,
Asked myself why death rejects me when I need release,
Nothing strong enough to pull my soul out from these depths,
No wings yet to carry me so far,
Why have you betrayed me light,
Why must I drown so deep.
Listen to my crushed soul weep as my soul seems to decrease,
Deeper and deeper,
without age everything decays.
Here within the shadows,
Which has made a stain out of me.
Black velvet dreams,
And your words I have long forgotten, along with the memories.
This rose i held unto, has died.

Shello! I was Wondering if i could use this pic for a drawing, tis WAY to beautiful to pass up drawing something like this. Its very emotional, not many people can capture emotion like this in a photograph. Its full of happiness, and sorrow. Makes me feel all tingly inside, i love it!

I love this piece of art. It caught my eye out of all of the others in your gallery. The overall colouring is unique. The slight shadow on your face from the roses is excellent, along with the vase thingy you have them in. Good work, I love this piece. The literature is a good touch too. I particularily enjoy this line: "Why must I drown so deep" --- I guess it projects the sense that 'you'r already drowning, but why does it have to be so deep = eternally doomed one way or another.

oh wow. just, wow. this is incredible, theres no two ways about it. Theres something that seems infinitely powerful and yet fragile, how can you portray so much through a single face shot?? The pain, the turmoil and the brittle roses are just perfectly placed. This is a masterpiece. What more can be said??

However, I think if the rose was just below your chin I would like it a little better.
