Description
I was out of town and away from computers this past week, and I was inspired to start drawing with colored pencils for the first time in years. All of these characters are based on ones that I drew years ago.First – two members of a “species” of wolf I drew a lot when I was 14. These guys are unusual because around that time, I was mostly drawing just felines and dragons, and not much else
Second (left) – the main character from an illustrated story I wrote when I was 7, Old Tom the Fox-Tail Cat. The story in question was pretty much a collection of slightly altered versions of Aesop’s fables starring Tom and his friends and family. I made him more realistic and anatomically correct than he appeared in the story. The only two things that remained more or less the same were his white ruff and fluffy white tail.
Second (right) - a nameless cat with a flaming urn, copied from a doodle I did when I was 14 (as are the rest of these drawings).
Third – A dragonlike beast. I went through a phase in Junior High School when I was constantly drawing cats astride mythical, fantastic creatures like this one (I’m sure there’s some Freudian symbolism hidden in that somewhere)
Fourth – An Eastern dragon. He’s a lot shorter than he originally appeared.

Interesting creatures youve made there. Toms very hansome. I like the other cat and eastern dragon as well.
