Indeed, for aviation-nerds like me, the only good thing that forest fires have is that they offer an air-show for free that can last a whole day, and even if you are just watching the same planes over and over again for hours.

These images (again, stills from videos from my videocamera) have been recorded from our countryside house, which is in the depth of a valley. Also there had the threat of forest fires around (more than one), the sky filled with smoke, the smell of burn, and smuts falling from the sky.

There were two CL-415 Canadairs and a Bell AB.412 helicopter fighting the forest fires in the area.
