Maybe you should give that argument to the folks petitioning for Yata Garasu to be taken off the Forbidden List, you know the guys who believe it would be "worthless" because it "would never get off an attack in today's meta".

first off... the opponent need to try (and fail) to destroy thos thing with a card effect during THEIR turn
now answer this... would YOU be dumb enough to do it yourself.
and supposing they somehow figure out how to trick you into hitting his thing. WOULD you or would you not fill your field with monsters to solve that problem?
