Taken as children those who's durance was undertaken by the gentry known as Father, had exceptionally poor lives. While they were not driven to love they were bound to Father's Fate. Any broken or abused contract or oath would fall upon the heads of these changelings until their terrible fates became overwhelming and they were discarded into a stinking pit to be forgotten.

Eventually the vale between Arcadia and the Abyss/Lower Depths thinned and other things came through within that pit. Things that weren't the ghosts of those lost children so much as silhouettes. The empty space where their spirits once were. One body not quite dead became filled with them. Now Eld (Eldest Sibling) exists. A Kithless changeling born from the malign forces wrapped in the Wyrd and allowed to exist only as Father's nemesis. The scissor to cut the skeins of Fate around his story. They don't remember any single life, having shards of every empty silhouette that makes up their soul. Unable to know if the soul left powering their meat is even their own.
