In my KH: Phi setting Lauriam used a Sin Bangle to sever his bond to his chirithy so that they would survive him after he gave up his heart. The now dark chirithy went into the place where the realms of darkness and sleep connect and merged with a Dark Thorn heartless. Now the Oneiroi Thorn stalks the pits and corners of the Dark World.
