Usually? As if they are real and have characters and they get to choose whether to wear clothes or not. Who defines the "rules" for these "Chakats" in the first place? I love fantasy and imaginative things but this just sounds wierd somehow.
I don't really understand anthropomorphism at this scale.
They behave like humans, they wear clothes like humans, they talk like humas, they smile/laugh/cry like humans, their mimics are the same with a human but the only difference is the way they look which to me is like a fur ball.
I think this has more to do with fetishes, obsession or morphism than fantasy. I believe it comes down to "the dislike of the way humans look".
Because everything except the looks is the same with a human.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when an anthro is virtually human in everything except appearance. I don't know how this author writes them of course, but that's how it generally is. It is so much more interesting when a species is created and has an entirely different culture from humans. Different language (both physical and verbal), different ideas on what is acceptable or not, etc...

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. They are like animal characters from disney animations.
They look different but behave exactly like a human.
If they are going to be like a human why not use a human character instead?
I remember seeing a web comic that was about a "wolf-detective" with the style of 40s.
A wolf walking upright, wearing a detective's coat and smoking was wierd for me I guess.
If they are different in their anatomy at least they should have some difference in their behaviours aswell.
But I guess it's just very hard(impossible?) to accurately mimic such original and "alien" features in both culture and character for such fictional figures from a limited human perspective.
We simply don't know how an intelligent life form would behave other than ourselves.

Also, how would they use chairs? I see some in the background of the pic. I think this all is about character design and the way you have to think everything through when somebody wants to do things like this...

Exactly. I think making such art like this deviation requires a lot more thinking to all of the elements included in the scene and concept. She can't sit on those chairs. But these are all details and they seem to be endless when one begins thinking.

they're just like any other furry I suppose, just quadruped rather then bipedal. But yeah, it's common for them to start wearing shirts a little after childhood, when they start *ahem* developing. Did you know they're also hermaphrodites?

To cover up their boobies. They are Chakats, from the looks of it, with the kitten a chakitten, as it's called.
