Description
Reflections has now a music piece by Fox Amoore too that interprets the profound feeling of the image: [link]Reflections.
Somewhere between these two worlds, exists the a whole person - divided. Somewhere between dream and waking.
A part of them trapped, just beneath the surface. A forlorn acceptance to their existence; and only the freedom that sleep can provide will relieve that burden. There is a profound resignation, a deep sorrow that swims in their eyes. It is unlike a fresh wound; new and painful. It is not a wound that bleeds. Nor a wound that strikes with agony. But a rancorous thing. A burden endured. An old regret; one that suffocates and slowly constricts. Each breath, harder to take. And like gravity, it is a crippling inevitability - resigned to the fact. Trapped, just beneath the surface. With only their reflection to remind them.
A tiredness that wishes only for respite.
The eyes speak loudly; as much with their presence as with their absences.
Where the eyes tell a story of burden and a resignation to the point of sorrow - there is a profoundness in the release of sleep; a reflection of their desire. The freedom there in, beyond the confines and the suffocating existence of what lies behind those eyes. There is peace. A respite from the arduous reflection that never seems to change. Until sleep comes. Until one is made whole again where the boarders of sleep and waking blur and meld.
The reflection, one of resignation transforms, the dream becoming the real, past the curtain of the surface. Past the reflections of sadness. A projection into another world, one that is neither bound by limitations of heart nor impediments of the body. A place where two parts are made one and all things are possible.
A world of burden forgotten; the freedom of dream.

I think, greatest of all - is that we see what we feel, reflected in those eyes. More than anything that exists there, or doesn't, we see what we feel.
We should dream, more often.

This is both beautiful and a little profound. Sad, but very deep. May dreams offer solace in times of pain, and may all pain one day heal.

they say that a picture is worth a thousand words; the idea of being trapped within ice, with a limited amount of air, just waiting for the end to come... i dont know whether it was your intention to make the piece dark or not, but it works. what i really love from this is the facial expressions, specifically the different eyes. i just cant stop staring at that face, but every time i do, my heart aches a bit ;-; regardless of what i just said, i love it and im glad this piece really got my attention from the front page
