I do wish there was a completely new Sonic game which would be Open-World and returning CGI Cutscenes and making Sonic look more serious than being a comedian.

And if SEGA's not going to do that, they should make a third Sonic & All-Stars racing game.
If you don't know what Sonic & All-Stars racing is, it's SEGA's answer to Super Smash Bros. character-wise and SEGA's answer to Mario Kart gameplay-wise.Β
To put it simple, it's a crossover between various SEGA properties. The sequel, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, also features Wreck-It Ralph as a guest character.
