I once said i would do a series on this topic but i never got further then the first piece. well now Part 2.
ofcourse it doesnt have the originality of the idea
the first one had but meh it felt like a worthy follow up so i decided to submit it .
this page is from the girl he killed before the one he pushed off a cliff , so this event happened a couple of days before .. the detail on the diary is better this time although im less happy with the main pictures as i couldnt do much to them exept for the eye damage and eyeball , so i decided to put in a little part of a film still to develop with more shots to make up for it , i made it blurry and hard to see intentionally to make it more fucked up in a way .. and u can look longer at it this way
.all stock used is from 9mm-stock > [link] and mine , i hope i will be able to get her permisson to make this into a print and put it together with part1 into one piece .
actually the base of the film thingie is from dreamstock i think it was ... ye
and also some brushes from aleksandra on the polaroid ..

Another favorite, No wonder your a celebrity on DA. This is breathtakeing. I full vieew all your pics and I agree so much is missed in the thumbnails, it should just go right to the full view. I really like the undeveloped film strip aswell, it makes it look like it was thrown togeather and just shut in a book. Congrats on another amazing picture, you are a genious!

thats awesome!! although, her eye socket looks a bit odd because its such a bright metallic red. i think if it were darker and more matte looking, it might look more realistic. otherwise, great work!

Why am I the only one that doesn't like this. Probably because of certain points. I know its from a series. If the piece is really considered representational, then the artist has to present a serial killers diary, as we know it. I might be getting to serious here over an art piece, but I felt it was tacky. It was rare (somewhat objective) for serial killers to have pics (especially flawless) or even negatives of their murderous acts. The blade looks real but why would he put it in his journal? The pills look fake while everything else looks somewhat real, also the shading underneath the pills is different from the shading by other objects. The negative have a little shading. The borders around the photos, I don't get, looks tacky. Needs more attention to details. I keep wondering to myself why these pieces are getting many good reviews, I'm thinking of a mix of lack of art education (even in the most minimalistic way), the lack of any type of formal or unformal educatio, the bars have been lowered, or that the eyes of the art consumer NOW doesn't pay attention to detail.

The way I see it you are right from a formal point of view.... but it must have been a lot of work though and it really looks great, gerat, great - even if there are some minor issues. I would't put tooo much emphasis on this. OK, they should/could be mentioned - otherwise there won't be any progress posible.... but for me those formal points have nothing to do weather I like something or not. And I really like this one even if some minor points could be improved.
When you ask me I really like the pills and the knive here. I heared that a lot of those insane killers take some sort of Chemicals.... and they also hurt themselves with knives like that.... For me this composition is very realistic... nothing wrong with that. And not everyone here is an fully educated Artist.... that is for sure. So there is no need for this perfection - at least I see it like this. If it only was for perfect and formal correct art - you should close deviantART as soon as possible and then every submission has to pass a highly educated jury befor it will get posted. Then you would have one or two submissions a week and we all would have great fun - somewhere else

Well my complaint isn't in regard to perfection but when attention to detail is not obliged. And no one sees it. The shading underneath the pills compared to the shading in other objects, or lack of. It really isn't realistic to me. It's a good idea but a lack of knowledge. I guarantee you that the average human takes more pills than a serial killer. How do I know this, research, statistics, and seminars. Maybe I'm too much of perfectionist which can be bad in various communities. I do but I don't mean harm, I can't explain but for studying art for 15 years and have worked on controversial nonrepresentational, and abstract pieces, this type of attitude comes along with territory. I can't help it.

oh yes I know that very well.... I am in the process of not noticing - or better not taking notice of - all those little things you mentioned. For me this place here at deviantART is something special. Here you have the possibility to just play around and even make silly things like mixing all this stuff together. I look at whatever captures my attention and then I either like it or not. If I think something could be changed.... well sometimes I tell it and sometimes not
