I like how the transition from blue to pink gives a sense of movement to the piece, almost like there's wind blowing from right to left. The tree is also quite well done, though I think it could have more of an impact if it were leaning the other way. The way the tree is leaning now makes it look like it's leaning into the breeze rather than being pushed by it.

I also think the stars would be better of being a different colour, maybe a white gel pen would do the trick.

Overall this is quite a strong piece, you've thought about composition by not putting the tree smack-bang in the middle of the page and have given it a lovely sense of movement. Good job!

What I like:
You managed to create a very deep, dreamy atmosphere. Most of the elements work towards this impression, the tree longing for the stars, the color choice and the soft image focus.

What I dislike:
That's not how trees work. The trunk and branches are thicker at their bottom and get thinner towards their end.

What you could improve on:
Maybe a more gnarly oak-tree would work for such a scene.  You could also introduce a character to the scene, who is supporting the dream-like atmosphere. A common symbol would be for example a little girl on a swing.

I came here from ProjectComment ! I hope this turns out helpful, please be critical about my critique and see how it applies for you personally. Cheers!

Lovely color play! A sweet little scene with a tree in the wind.

Nice to see how the colors interact and give the sense of motion in the image! It makes it that the tree feels like moving in the wind and bending to it's force. I'd like to see maybe some smaller distant trees at the bottom to give more feel and depth to the scene.

I don't really get though if the dots are stars or leafs. in either case, great! but maybe make thema bit more defined. Give theme flares e.g. if they are stars.
The level of detail in the tree is awesome, all little leaves and branches. My only comment on that is that the branches feel a bit fake because they are so straight. Also branches tend to split more regularly instead of all hundred little branches on one big one. Think of the term "to branch out".

Great little doodle, keep it up!
