This design has nothing to do with WW2, or Veterans even.
There's a great story about Alexander the Great when his brigade once captured a notorious pirate. Alexander asked the pirate: βHow dare you molest the people of the sea with your piracy?β The pirate replied: βAnd how dare you molest the entire world with your empire? I am called a thief because I do it with a little ship only. You do it with a great navy and you are called an Emperor.β

I take from this aprehensively. I am not aware, what is meant, but I am drawn by the words and their flow, the image and its solidly familiar aspect,
but the corruption of symbols long held dear will be hard to bear for some, and a welcome change for others. Symbols are used to represent and idea, a people, a time, a place. We have changed, why hasn't our symbol?

okay, to be honest, i DO NOT like te skull you've put onto the flag instead of stars and stripes.
however, the whole piece is very nice, has a hidden meanings and other stuff. ideal for may wallpaper, but... would it be ok if i removed the skull?
