Excellent composition, except for the fact that the focus of attention is not exactly in the middle - such symmetry would have enhanced this piece, since the tree makes it asymmetrical. A symmetric piece featuring asymmetry usually tends to look beautiful. But for the rest: the pathway and the tree really go very well together.
I would have increased the contrast a bit if I were you, but that's a matter of taste. The light parts are already light enough, so it's not really necessary.

Beautiful. The arch does, as the person above me said, provide excellent framing. I like how it is off-centered as well. When focusing on the area within the arch, it's almost as though I'm looking into a snow-globe. The piece is full of curves - I like how the tree arches similarly to the arch itself, and how the road/walls curve around it. Brilliant photography.
