So this is a photo? You swang your camera to achieve this?
They are called "fractal flames" btw.

no. I "swang" the fire, not the camera

Oh, so you are in the darkness and the you are swinging a piece of wood, and the camera is on long-exposure or something?

really impressive work, I initially thought this was one of your paintings from the thumbnail, it's great how you can get your photographs to reflect your style of painting as expressed in your digital pics. looks like a hologram projector from Star Wars. excellent photograph.

Amazing, brilliant, What camera do you use for this kind of shoot? I want to attempt a dangerous one with a friend, she agreed to have her stand in the center while she swings the torch around her <3

Really cool, but I have one question. How did you take the photo without showing the actual person holding the branch? Did it become like that only because of the long shutter speed?

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
30 second exposure and you got it so dark??
Did you darken it quite a bit??
It's vair nicely done... lovely to see what wonders the rebel can do

30 seconds, but with the ISO at 100 and the diafragma at F7.1 you'll still get the shot that dark .

gah... I always try something like that but it never works out for me...
I have the same cam and I have troubles changing the shutter speed and aperture to match that?
It always sorta automatically evens itself out

The couple of times I've had a Canon I had just the same problem. I'm sure that there is some way of disabling it, but for now, I'm happy with my nikon. The controls are just so much easier and it actually does what you want . But I guess it's just a matter of what you're used to.

yeaeh... damn lol
I'd like to see how it was done here, though, seeing as the same camera as mine was used
