That all comes down to the votes. This new character is actually modelled after the artists fiancee. However in a previous comic zee captain said "When I was a little girl"

I think it's purdy. And I think the critique totally missed the fact that YOUR ARTWORK...IT...IT SMELLS OF PERFECTION.

The person who critiqued your artwork kind of started on the wrong foot. I think if he/she had looked a little harder, he/she would have seen that the so-called "portal to hell" actually kind of looks like abundant life behind a broken wall. And if there's life, then the character would assume there'd be breathable air, thus taking off the mask.
While the technical aspects of the critique are fair, I think the person critiquing you shouldn't have commented on the content of the work the way he/she did. Maybe a fifth panel would have made it easier for some people to understand what you were going for, but I seriously don't think it's as confusing as the person giving the critique seemed to be suggesting. Further, why should you have chosen a different colour scheme? I think the colour scheme you chose is fine. It works with the feel of the post-apocalyptic world. I think it's wonderful.
In short: I love it.

You'd have to read the comics to understand.... There hasn't been a female character in the series, and this female character closely resembles the main character in the comic series.

Someone is being manipulated by GF to get more and more protagonism... She IS beautiful, don't get me wrong, but to see her face in different characters doesn't feel quite right.

Perhaps it's just that I had this mental idea that all characters on Romantically Apocalyptic wore masks all the time. I know for sure I used the word "manipulated" on my mind because yo usaid "made me do it". I'm pretty much certain those 2 ideas got mixed up in my mind.
