No but seriously.... am I the only one who see this as a huge problem. Me personally have no problem that Twilight is an alicorn. My problem is the long life spam of an Alicorn and her friends and family don´t live as long as her now..... of course... I am not a walking wikipedia.... I don´t know everything about MLP don´t judge me. ,^^My friends in this comic.

Her turning into an alicorn from a medical perspective would really cripple or kill her.
Adding extra bones, muscle and veins are similar to something thats cruel: Malignant tumors. This also hurts the genetic coding and her brain. The wings would not be usable. The sudden add on to a new organ can be detrimental to the creature. With such a sudden change, Twilight would live a much shorter life or die on the spot due to mistransciptions and the body possibly attacking her for the wings. The wings would die on their own if she survives.

I heard that as well, but I do like to put things in a scientific prospective. Have you heard of a show called myth busters? They try to see if something that is fantastic (as in the element of fantasy) and see if its scientifically possible. Game Theory, a channel on youtube, does this as well. Science takes place in a majority of my head canons. For example, yoshi. I call yoshi a female due to the ability to produce eggs. Eggs can only be produced if overies, a uterus and all the other stuff is present. These organs are only found in female reptiles and other animals. Another reason is motherly instinct. Yoshis protect baby mario from threat. This trait is present in female chickens (descendants of the dinosaurs) and in reptiles. This can occur in males, but is much less likely to happen due to a different species and aggression to protect a female if he choses to stay with her. Females are the caregivers in the reptile kingdom.
