I'm sorry, but I have to agree with the last comment from MuffinCannibalArt!Β What kind of mood were you in when you conceived this work?Β I'm getting a 'pirate-ish' feel from the fellow with the knife!Β But the colorful 'spew' is all yours my friend!Β (Tongue firmly planted in cheek, of course!)

I can strongly say myself, that this a very interesting and a particularly striking design. The reason I am reviewing this, is because it is for a university assignment. It really stood out to me and the dark aspects of this really interest me. It is appealing to me. I discover myself looking back over and over again as my eye moves around the page countless times on almost every square inch. Itβs a very intriguing Image βEscaped Convictionβ. I love it, very amazing work. I have to say, I was fairly impressed when I saw the thumbnail for this, it was everything I expected, but more than what I had hoped for. It has very dark and morbid aspects.
Every aspect of design in this image alone is very eye catching. It fluctuates from all design principles and is a well-designed illustration. One area that particularly stood out to me was the way my eye was drawn to the knife splitting this manβs throat. The colours of the blood appear alive and it seems the man is being drained of all that is living. I love the sensation of direction with what is supposed to be blood, but spits out with what appears to be an array of demon mouths, coupled with a leak effect (in a way) with shades of complimentary colours. It is most certainly appealing to the eye.
What I really enjoyed with this particular piece; is the deep sharp contrast between the colours, and the white. It works well with the consistency of repetition used in the white empty space. Another part of design which caught my eye was the amount of detail put in to the βhalf painted/Faded/splatter lookβ and dark look of the illustration. It is confronting, and has a harmonious/artistic atmosphere to it. It managed to keep my eye moving on the design and it performs well, (I could almost see it as my desktop wallpaper).
I can really see how you, (the artist) have wanted to pronounce this so that it speaks to the audience emotionally, which is a sharp strategy from the art department side of things. In my opinion what may have improved the design even further than it is already, is that there is a little white space inside the neck where there should be the blood colour. Other than that, everything I perceived was virtually in perfect condition.
The illustration positioned used all of the appropriate principles and elements of design inside of said image. The design has implemented well with the trends and sets of popular design culture in the creative industry and internet, which sets it above from the rest. This is a considerably remarkable work and it does move the eye around while keeping me viewing for a period of time before moving back and looking again. I enjoyed every second looking at this, very well done indeed. I look forward to hearing from you. β Isaac Ibbott

I have to admit, when I was searching for random desktop backgrounds, this image came up a couple of times. I just "knew" it had to be somewhere on DA, so I started literally randomly searching art, and came across the "Lazy Face" deviations.... Much to my surprise, upon browsing through your gallery, I came across this image...the same one I "knew" I would find. Little did I know I would find it here, without ever directly searching. Super glad I could fave it!! Thank you for a beautiful piece! Love it!
