"That horse is a danger to everyone! And the sooner you realize that the sooner we can get her out of here!" Ari's face was crumpled with suppressed pain as the EMT at her side worked to close the wound in her arm. She ignored Michelle's attempt to finish her sentence and spoke directly to the owner, Micheal. "This is what, her third attack since I got here? In Rakernon we would have declared her unstable and left her out for dragon fodder. One bad seed ruins them all and she's already rubbing off on Hawkeye. I can barely get Jager within thirty feet of her and he's faced down dragons. DRAGONS."
Micheal said nothing for a moment, his frown deepening, then turned towards Richard, who was keeping a calming hand on Hawkeye while Alexis, the vet, patched up his neck. With forced humor in his tone he asked, "I've heard everyone else's opinions. What's yours?"
"I would let her go." Richard patted Hawkeye's muzzle as the stallion spooked a little, soothing him. "As much as I hate to give up on a horse, she's done more harm than good so far."
Michelle looked nearly in tears. "Please. Give me one more month."
Sighing, Micheal finally nodded. "A month. And I want updates on her progress. Do whatever you have to. For now, let's finish up here and then get some sleep. We'll talk more about it in the morning."

Richard looked like he was trying not to laugh. "You want to teach Hawkeye dressage."
"Not to compete, but just....just to give him some manners." Michelle was adamant. "They hang out together a lot. Maybe he can be a steadying influence on Aris."
"I think it's a fool's errand. But if you think you can pull it off, sure, I'll help. Can't say I've ever done much in the way of dressage but I can teach him the control."
"That's all I needed to hear."

Michelle has hatched a plan to save Aris' place at DVE. But will Hawkeye be enough to pull her back from the brink of madness?

I realize I am probably making a hash out of legit dressage here. I imagine you can't learn much in a month. |D But eh. My head, my rules. Dressage will teach Hawkeye the control of his body and his mind that he will need to help "tame" Aris, and he can probably learn enough in a month to make a difference.
