the up looks like an sky, while nether don't have a sky. you can actualy like the floor with "sky" to give the feeling its an underground place, instead of the new world.
Other than that I am jellous of your lightstyle, fantastic work.

Before that, I practiced in cloud drawing a lot.

I believe that it's the artist's stylized version of the lava you see dripping from the ceiling of the nether :^)
As for bow and arrow, why not? Great weapon for nether exploration.

How cool! Though I do have some ideas for what you could draw next from minecraft... Witch's Hut, End, Village, Village (Desert), Possibly a cave system? Those are pretty cool in Minecraft and I'm sure with your talent, you could make it

I remember that one time i was walking on the bridge thing of the nether fortress then i reached a dead end fall to lava then outta nowhere a wither ambushed me and dropped me into the lava, lost all my diamond stuff >_<
