Description I wanted to make this a picture featuring my Typhlosion, at time a Quilava, delivering a final blow Flame Wheel at the Goldenrod GYM battle.

Generation IV were the game I really felt how the Pokemon Games evolved since Generation II, not only at graphics but at the game mechanics itself. At generation II, the move category as physical or special were locked at the move type, so every fire type move were special attacks. That means the Gen IV Quilava deals less damage through the Flame Wheel than the Gen II as the move uses now the lower Attack stats (and the foe's Defense instead SP Def) to calculate the damage.

It sounds strange because I played the Generation VI before the Soul Silver, but, to reason with, the Kalos featured brand new world, pokemons and world, so everything were new, the Remake however were a much familiar gameplay, as I played many times the Gold/Crystal version, had been surprised at the second, Bug GYM that were a piece of cake at the original, but almost swept the floor with my fire types (Cyndaquil, Growlithe and Ponyta) at the remake.

Despite this, it were a miracle I won the match against Whitney in first shot despite my prior preparations. The first pokemon I used were Pidgeotto, knoked off the foe Clefairy and used the remain HP to use Sand Attack at Miltank, Quilava further reinforced the accuracy debuff with Smokescreen, and then spammed Fire Wheel. Unknown to me the attack deals less damage than the Ember, as Quilava's Attack is lower and Miltank's Defense is much higher than the SP Defense... Possibly a factor that helped me were the AI decided to use the move Attract against my (female) Quilava.

That match were the point I begun to care more about the non-damage moves and the Move type. Also, I begun to check better my Pokemon's stats points too...

And that kind of fun factor I needed to definitely return to franchise ^v^

But let's admit the Flame Wheel is much more badass than Ember. UvU

(Artwork wise, she is a non-anthro version of the previous Typhlosion, eventually I want to draw her in her feral version... despite only minor adjustments are required...)
