Not sure where you are getting 6 fingers from, but the texture is actually an old poster board I tea stained then scanned in. C:

That's very true. I guess I'm looking at it from my side. Since I'm not as good an artist, if I ever did something this wonderful I would never dream of scrapping it.

Just think of your work as "One day, I'll scrap all of this". That's what I do. I'm constantly discovering mistakes in my old drawings. A couple of years from now I'll see just how crap my work is and I'll throw it out in rage. I look forward to that moment.

It's a different way to look at it, haha. I think one day I will look back on to my work not to see how crap it is but to see how much I have improved. And I am constantly discovering mistakes in my new work, haha! The joys of art..
