I had to retake spanish year 1 over again too because I was at 59.5% but I needed to be at 59.6% to pass that year and I didn't figure this out until half way through the summer so if I got just a tiny bit better on just ONE of my tests I would have passed last year.
On the bright side,though, it's a hell of a lot easier now than last year because it's all review

I'm getting a B+ now so I'm doing fine, the only real reason I had such a low score in spanish is because I didn't do ANY of my projects and they were 30% of the grade. I'm doing my projects now though.

Yeah, that's the thing. Besides ONE spanish test(where I zoned out for two weeks until the test) I always got at least a 70% on my tests so I knew what we were talking about, I was just being lazy.
That's why I think tests/quizzes and classwork/homework/projects should be put in 2 categories so you can see if people know the material and if they have been working hard and each teacher gets to decide which category matters for passing.
