realistic proportions aside, i think you need to expand on your transitions, when its more adequate to fade out a line or go without it altogether. You did it with the inner structure of the ears, but your nose and mouth are harshly separated from the face. Especially the nostrils connect in a delicate way to the face thats worth exploring.
