Description
This is one of the alien species I invented for yet another head world (or universe in this case). You make recognize it from a piece I did titled "Star Travelers (aliencon.deviantart.com/art/St… . I'll do drawings and info for the other species in that piece as well. Now for this one.

Thelosians are insect-like vertebrates that that are grouped into three castes; the soldiers (top), the workers/civilians (bottom), and queens (not pictured). The soldiers stand roughly 2m while the workers/civilians stand around 1.7m. The sizes of the queens are not know but are rumored to be significantly larger. Thelosians have a militeristic culture due to a long history of interspecies conflict. The workers/civilians are sterile and only select individual soldiers can breed with the queens which are all fertile. As a result most of their technology is devoted to physical enhancement and weaponry such as the handheld rail guns that are grafted to the pictured soilders arms. In spite of there violent past, the Thelosians managed to become a united species under the authority of several queens and lead secure and prosperous lives. They continue to develop their weapons technology should any threat come to their home world though they have made progress in other fields as well such as interstellar travel. As a species, Thelosians value honor and brotherhood among all other things and have extended this to other species they have encountered.
