Here's the colored version of the first Uplifted and Posthuman art piece. The scenario here is two scientists is studying an artifact they found while exploring an alien ocean. If anyone remembers from the batch of Posthumans, the aquatic one had legs. She still does, the tail is the result of smart/programable matter. Smart/programable matter is a cumulation of various types of nanomachines that change form to serve a multitude of purposes. In the setting the uplifted and posthuman exist in (The Centauri universe though further in the future), smart/programable matter is worn as clothing. In the case of the aquatic posthuman, it can form a tail and fins as well as making her body more streamlined. The uplifted shown here (a dolphopod) also wears smart/pogramable matter and it can form legs whenever he needs to be on land.Can't wait to make more of these.
