Perfectly content does the little clock sit
swinging his arms about his face
watching, laughing
as we scurry past his throne.
Designed to aid us,
he rules us instead,
making us dance to his tune of destruction.
Every second we hear.
Every minute we see.
Every hour we meet with frowns of despair.
Our mortality is ever before us
so we accomplish without joy;
we achieve without understanding.
And Time weeps.
To arms my brethren!
Come, let us cast down this oppressor,
this tyrant, this beast!
Rend his face with knives of glass!
Crush his arms beneath our feet,
and let Time return!
For only when one has slain the clock
can Time begin to live.
