Description
Weeping Window - Elizabeth CantrallMy fingers brush cold, colored glass
comforting the weeping window there.
He reflects my face, my heart, my soul...
a feat silver mirrors fail to do.
Curtains pulled around him tight,
he shivers beneath the vengeful sky's glare.
Under my palm, he quakes in fear,
and I respond in kind.
Ah crying glass, how alike we are on nights like this,
a reflection of my soul you become.
The tears and fears that wrack your frame
tear through mine as well.
Yet still we remain complete and whole,
unbroken through another raging storm,
so stand strong my weeping friend;
we'll see the sun again.
