THIS IS A PAINTING, NOT A PHOTOYes, this is Lt. Horatio Caine from the TV show CSI:Miami. I know a lot of people don't like him but I love him to pieces and I've been wanting to do this portrait for a very long time...

The portrait is excellent, though you should have put a little more defined background.
Horatio is one of my all time favorite characters, his one-liners could be the sole reason I watch CSI: Miami
Btw, any reason as of why has this deviation been viewed so few times?

Thank you very much for the constructive critique. I usually avoid defined backgrounds because I'm afraid they might take away from the portrait but I might try it next time.
As for the number of views, thank you very much for your lovely comment and show of support. I'm thinking it could be because Horatio is a very controversial character. People either love him or they can't stand him and usually it's leaning more towards the latter...

I was thinking something like an out of focus background, you know, blurry, but you can still make out what it is in the background.
Besides, I don't understand how people can not like his one liners
In my opinion, people generally like Horatio, you just have to post a link or two on well picked sites (like some Horatio/David Caruso fan club) and watch the number of views rise
