Description I'm drawing a series of pictures based on the 7 dead sins, 13 in total. All these sins are from a video game called Actraiser 2 for SNES. I'll be studying their character design and details of the level you find these sins on to try and find all the metaphors and symbolism they made.

Sloth 1: Sloth

This demon is the sin SLOTH. In the game, he attacks a town aptly named Diligence, causing the once hard working community to lose their will to work and even live. He rides a cloud that causes a heavy rain and appears as a skeletal zombie and uses a sickle to attack his victims.

I believe the rain represents sloth by how no one likes to go out and work on a rainy day. The sickle represents who is effected most negatively, the farmers, and his skeletal appearance symbolizes how these farmers are affected, they starve to death. Sloth isn't as big of a problem nowadays, but back centuries ago, when your community thrived off the farmers' success, if the farmers didn't work, there'd be little to no food to eat, and there'd be no economy so people couldn't buy food from other towns.

The opposite of Sloth is the heavenly virture Diligence.
