Pg. 2In the booth is a CONTROL-BOT, a delicate android with a slightly pompous air, who is typing away at his keyboard at the speed of light. His eyes cannot swivel so he has to move his entire head from side to side to see what he is writing. At the end of each line his neck springs back like the carriage of an ancient typewriter.
BIG ROBOT
(martial tone)
Capture and abduction detail. Bringing in victim #22Z21 .
The control-bot jumps violently upon realizing that someone is there. He stops typing and self-consciously fiddles with the tangle of cables jutting out of his neck as though adjusting his tie.
CONTROL-BOT
Ahem... So what may this be about?
BIG ROBOT
I have authorization to access the Virtual duplication Center.
The control-bot types away like mad, his eyes glued to the screen.
CONTROL-BOT
Err... Quite so!
The control-bot hits a button and the solid round door
opens.
