Originally his parents didn't intend to have him so when they found out they weren't very happy. the mother was hoping for a girl and even picked out a name so when hazel was born biologically a male neither parents were pleased, though they didn't bother to choose a new name. They grew up to know only hate and quarrel between family, never having truly seen proper love. When they grew up they decided to become gender fluid but their parents did not approuve. they started getting into trouble but their parents couldn't care less up until they ran away to live with the gang they joined, quickly earning their respect. though not the leader hes respected as one, mainly due to the fact that they dont wish to be the leader. Not once have they been caught for their many crimes, or atleast.. they've dissposed of the witnesses.
