Guarding the line between life and death they are but a silent watcher as humanity struggles with its self induced worries and sorrows. They would be called The Guardian if there was anyone who could call them by any name, their real name forgotten over the century. But the way things are, they remain nameless and unseen, not even a myth or fairytale.
They have feelings, though. Feelings and thoughts that circle around, unable to be shared.
And so they watch. Watch and wait to be released, some day in a maybe not too far away future.
