I was never crazy about her choosing the clone over The Doctor. It just seemed out of character for her. One of the things I loved about her was that she never gave up and would do anything so that she could be with The Doctor. Then she just settles for the clone. The Rose I love would never stop until she had what she had fought so hard for. Plus, I felt bad for The Doctor because he was without Rose. It's not really fair on the clone either because she doesn't really love him, she loves The Doctor. We don't even know if she's happy.

Well, as I recall, Billie Piper herself once said, Rose's not happy in this parallel universe with Tentoo. Rose we all know would never behave like that. Even RTD admited it was a poor ending, very forced and out of character (don't have the source for these statements, sorry). So I agree with You here, it's so sad tho._.

So Rose went to all that effort to come back and The Doctor gave Rose the clone and she's not even happy?! I thought they were trying to give Rose a happy ending but they couldn't have her on the show anymore so that's what they came up with. At least she didn't lose her memories of The Doctor like Donna, poor girl. Yeah, it was out of character for both The Doctor and Rose. All we hear for two years is, "Rose" "I miss Rose!" "I want Rose back!" Rose is coming back! Rose is coming back!" and then he just leaves her. I guess he wanted her to be happy and thought it would be better if she was with the clone instead of him. I've actually read fan theories that Rose is immortal because of the Time Vortex/Bad Wolf thing, considering that Jack is immortal because of it, it kind of makes sense. If that's the case, the clone will grow old and die and Rose will be alone again.

yes, I've seen those too. Some of them included the clone growing old, and Rose remaining the same by his side for years. After, well, his death, Rose would go to find the Doctor one last time, and this time it would be forever. I don't really know what to think about it. The one thing I know for sure is that their ending meant to be kind of happy, but turned out weak.
