First off this is a great concept, and pretty well executed! Is it a digital image, or a composite? I didn't see a credit, so I was curious how you created the reaper! The piece as a whole is very well done, the concept is powerful and intense. It looks to be a composite, so excuse this next line: the assumed female in the foreground, her edges are unnaturally white as if feathered during placement (possibly erased, rather than placed?) if this is true, I would work on that aspect of editing. Clean edges, rather than sharp or feathered will give a more natural placement. The lighting on the alarm clock isn't natural or fitting with the lighting in r scene. I like the "twinkle" but toned down to a more dim lighting will make it look more part of the scene. Great job!

Thanks!
Well, this picture isn't much edited. The whole composition is based on the original photo I took. I just used a little bit of digital processing to advance the feeling of the picture.
All in all I changed several aspects of the lighting to enhance the contrast and to create this "dark bloom" (I seriously don't know how to call it ) next to the edges of the picture and, of course, the reflection of the clock. I know it don't looks hundred percent original, but I think it's important for the clock to gain attention (I want the viewer to look at it first). Maybe there are other ways to achieve this, I'm keeping at it!

Love the concept in this! The symbolism of the clock with the "reaper" in the background is a very nice touch. And I especially like the colored foreground versus the gray scale. Altogether, very excellent work!

Disclaimer: This is only my humble opinion about the photo. If anyone has anything against it, please share so I and other people can maybe learn something new.
Ok, here it goes

The idea is great. Reminds me of Meet Joe Black - the movie with Pitt and Hopkins. Kudos on the idea

Firstly, I can't put my finger on it but the whole right side of the photo is kind of strange. All out of focus and "death" seems to have a kind of aura around him/her. I don't know what to make of that. Let me think about it...

Maybe an idea for the next version: The girl is dying/dead. Why is she dead. Does she have cancer, is she shot, stabbed...? I don't know if the idea would work. I had in mind some blood flowing down her hand and a bloody dress or something similar. It's just something to think about.

About the positioning of the elements in the frame. The girl, the clock and "death". the girl is kind of positioned according to the rule of thirds but the clock and death aren't. i like the rule of thirds. it's not as sophisticated as the golden ratio rule but it's simple and gets things done.
so maybe you should have framed the shot so that the clock is positioned on the intersection of the lines according to the rule of thirds. I guess you know what I'm talking about. If not, and that is totally normal (until a few years ago, I was clueless), google "photography rule of thirds" and "photography golden ratio" and you'll get a bunch of results.
maybe your frame should have been lower so the clock would be on the top left intersection of the rule of thirds. that would put the body of the girl on the extreme left in the image but I think a little zooming out would fix that problem. Another possibility is that you could have cropped half of the girls body out of the picture framing only part of her back and part of one leg and the crucial hand with the clock.

next, in the case of the clock being on the top and right intersection, death should then be positioned on the lower and right intersection of the lines according to the rule of thirds.
Oh, yes, the girls body isn't really important in this photo. I came to that conclusion while writing the text above. so the 2 most important elements are the clock in her hand and death.

OK, why would you want to do this in the first place.
#1 Because if you put the elements like I described you take advantage of the whole frame in a way that is beneficial to the whole image. no part of the frame is left unused and that is obviously good. if you were a painter, would you leave a part of your canvas unpainted?

#2 the eye of the person looking at the photo races across most of the frame looking for points of interest. if you put the points of interest according to the rule of thirds, then every point of interest has it's own place in the frame/has enough space around it so it's not suffocated by some other point of interest. it's not good to have the points of interest very close to each other or very far apart, therefore the rule of thirds is used as a guide.

In your image, the points of interest are positioned a little too close to each other (in my opinion) and my eye concentrates on the middle of the photograph and doesn't move much. In the image, there is nothing to look at except the middle part. If I may... your model isn't wearing a cute skirt or tight pants so I'm not finding myself looking at her lean legs or her behind (that's a good thing by the way because that would have totally ruined the mood of the photograph - not that I don't appreciate lean legs and behinds... ). My point is that other than the middle part of the photo, everything is redundant.
Maybe something you can try, just crop this image as I mentioned before... crop out half of her body so the elements are in effect more distant from each other. That way the clock will be at the lower left intersection and death at the top right intersection of the rule of thirds.

Just to clarify, distancing the elements makes the eye move across more of the photograph which creates a more dynamic photograph. when you have more than one point of interest in your frame, you want those points of interest to have a connection of some kind (which you did very well in this photograph). that will create an imaginary line from one point of interest to the other. the eye of the person watching the photo will then travel from one point of interest to the other and you want the eye traveling across the whole photo or across most of it. you want it to travel across the diagonals of the photograph, the horizontal or the vertical. that creates an interesting photograph.
traveling horizontal creates a calming effect on the viewer, for example landscapes.
traveling vertical creates drama, restlessness, tension, for example Jesus on a cross.
traveling on a downward diagonal creates a sense of going downhill, something natural, easy.
traveling on an upward diagonal creates a sense of climbing a mountain, something hard, dramatic.
all this you can also find by googleing and I implore you to google, what I write here is only the tip of the iceberg(for example the situation changes if you have only one point of interest - then the eye does a quick run around the photo, finds the one point of interest and stays there).
when i look at your photo, i get a sense of piece. death doesn't make me feel scared (that is my opinion) so maybe the diagonal should be downward so the clock should be up and left and death down and right.
Also, maybe it's good that death is a little out of focus. death is something that is not defined, nobody knows what happens after death. also that way, the viewer's eye isn't in conflict as to what to watch. It sees the clock and the girl, then it travels to death and sees death and then(because death is out of focus) travels back to the clock where it predominantly remains.

Oh, and once you know the theory of the rules of photography and know how to use them in practice(which is not hard to do for the rule of thirds), you should (for each photo) decide TO USE or NOT TO USE a rule and know the reason why you're using or not using a rule.

Well that's it. I hope I don't repeat myself too many times in the text above and I hope you find the comments constructive.
I kind of enjoyed writing this
Cheers
