The poor Acolyte of the Oxalis slept through the first half of the festival’s opening day – and not a single member of their coven had the heart to wake them. Being the sixth apprentice to a powerful Vacivian arch-mage requires countless hours of study and research and so, they rightfully thought the Acolyte could use some rest. Although their expression upon awakening was said to have frightened all who beheld it, Oxalis is not truely fearsome – just cursed with an particularly grumpy resting face. In that way, they take after their father – the lieutenant of Medeas’ city guards. Thankfully, they inherited their skill with magic and numbers from their mother – one of Scientius ’s many scribes.
