This looks so much like the 127 Days of the ant world. (Was that the number...?)

Yeah. There's a movie called 127 Days. Never seen it, but the poster is of the main character straddling the gap of two rock faces. Kind of like this guy.
Thanks for the reply! I know you get a lot of comments with this being a DD.

You ever seen that show "I Shouldn't Be Alive"? That's kinda similar, but the people do survive. And it's amazing that they do given a lot of their situations.

The one I saw included this women who was hiking with her dog in the Grand Canyon, I think, and she fell over a ridge or something and shattered her pelvis. She kept on trying to drag herself off to find help, but she kept on having to come back to one puddle of water and she just couldn't move. Her dog stayed with her, and when she eventually feared that she was doomed for, she sent him away. That turned out to be a life-saver, as the dog ran and got the attention of the rescuers. Truly a Lassie-like tale.

That's a nice story! Dogs are loyal!
I think the one I saw is a male hiker who was hiking in a canyon. He fell down, and he realized that his leg was under a big boulder, so he could not move. He tried and tried, but he could not move at all. Finally, he made a tragic decision. He broke his leg to escape from the boulder. That was a very tragic ending for me. He tried everything he could to escape

Oh, wow. It is sad, but you gotta admire his bravery. I can't imagine having to break my leg is that's what it came down to.
