Description

King found an unsuspecting viewer, thought they were cute, and bubbled them before sending them both skybound. Now, as you get used to your stretchy surroundings, the bubbly cat in front of you teases you by leaning on their own bubble. I hope you love bubbles, since you'll be trapped in one for a long time >:3c

So, it's been a while, huh. I didn't have much of an idea on what to draw, and when I did, it was probably for something more private. However, I'm back and armed with Aseprite once again, now fully pixel art! The scenario shown here came to me in a dream one night, someone suspended in a bubble with balloons on the top, tied around the bubble to keep it still and floaty. However, the bubble was much smaller and much closer to the ground in my dreams than on the canvas.

You may ask, who is King from earlier in the description? Well, he's a character I just made up! I wanted a character to put in the bubble, wanted to make a new one, and it eventually became yet another cat. They're just too cute not to make several, I guess. Anyways, he's a mage who, when he actually has it with him (I didn't write this in until after I had made the drawing, I'm not fixing it), wields a large, blue bubble wand staff that can make shiny, stretchy, slippery, impenetrable bubbles whenever he holds it (simple explanation, the staff just pulls from King's magic to fill its ring with more soap). He can control his own bubbles to go anywhere he wants, retrieve anything or anyone he wants, or merge with any of his other bubbles as he likes.

An additional note about this drawing, I really like how the hands were done on this one. Historically, I'm not... the best at hands. Usually, I'd just draw a circle and leave it at that. However, these look pretty solid, and I'm not even sure how I pulled it off. All I can say is that I'm really proud of them

I don't know what black magic online WEBM --> GIF converters do to make colors not the sloppy, blocky mess Aseprite exports them as, but I'm all for it.
