No respect for the staff or lore

I'm seriously curious
what lore?
the show has never stated any lore about alicorns or princesses.
and if these are toyline only, I don't see how it negatively affects the staff either.

Each princess is a princess of something, that something has to be essential or the world of equestria to warrant the alicorn status. Miss Faust had only envisioned two alicorns and with Cadence we were fed another, which was explained on her ascension in the mlp official book. Seasons 1-3 were the standard in Twilight's overall journey into her crown as well. These two have no basis and if they are being pushed by Hasbro, they are thinking baseline with their toy shipping income and not working with the world the staff are providing them. I don't honestly have a problem with them selling non how toys as I have no say in their affairs nor in their marketing department. That said however, I believe one of two things will happen; one, this will pass...or two, the writers will be pressured into writing characters behind these two...which would be bad, i my opinion as they have Celestia's designs and those CM's are confusing. More likely these are simply the new grab bag Celestia colors and will not influence the show one little bit. I hope this answers your curiosity  and explains my position in whole.

Also, I didn't say that having no respect for the staff would negatively affect them.

yes the alicorns we've seen have specific purposes, though Cadance doesn't have one essential for the world.
she doesn't create love(ffrom what we've seen of her magic she merely helps what's already there), and in the singing bit each of their purposes were blatantly stated(Celestia raises the Sun, Luna the Moon, and Cadance protects the Crystal Empire)
she rules the Crystal Empire.
and Twilight had no purpose at first either, she had to grow into it.
and Friendship existed before she became the princess of it too, so technically that's not essential for the world to have a princess for it.
my point being, adding more alicorns does not mess up what little we know about alicorns.
these two, IF they are put into the show(which I doubt they will be, I'm sure these are just for the toyline) they will either have purposes or kingdoms to rule(or both) or will have to come into them as Twilight did.
so, adding more shows no disrespect to the lore as we know it.
not to mention, people have all sorts of headcanons to fill in the blanks, because the show has been extremely vague on Alicorn details

PS what Faust thought originally no longer matters as she LEFT the show.
no disrespect to what she did for the show but she is no longer in charge so it doesn't matter what her original thoughts for it were.
was it better? maybe
we don't really get to know since it won't happen, she moved on leaving someone else to decide what happens.(though I read somewhere that Twilight was always meant to go alicorn even in her head. I don't know where so it may not be true but whateves)

all I meant was Hasbro adding new toys to the toyline is not disrespecting its staff at all.
yeah maybe if they truly did pressure them to add them in the show, but again I doubt they will.
Skyla has yet to make an appearance after all.
I'm sure these toy are just recolor toys not meant for Show canon.
and since you seem to agree with that part, I wonder why you say they have no respect for things when these toy aren't even likely to affect anything.

I get your point, and I hope you understand mine. :3
I just jumping to such a harsh conclusion based on toys alone is a bit much.

That was very well written and well read, I do see what you mean and I have a low mentality for companies on a whole, so I hope that lightens what I can only assume you read as a very polarized approach. I do apologize for voicing my opinions in such a way that the message of shameless recolours of the same princess while they can't be bothered to spend enough on the base version to keep it from pinking horribly gets muddled behind hazy head-cannon  and pieced together canon ties to draw an explanation.

well I can't blame you for disdain toward companies, but it may be better to save it for when they really do something terrible.
recolor toys is nothing new after all.
I don't get why its a bigger issue just because its the princesses, they've been selling recolors for ages after all.

True, and I don't think that's helping anyone's erm...anypony's perspective on the matter either. I'm glad the show does not cater to the fandom, but I'm surprised that Hasbro does not in a bit of effort, as the children they market to don't have income, they have parents who do...but that's really off topic and would spark a whole different conversation...

well income or not kids still buy ore toys the the adult fandom but yeah it would be nice if they tried a little harder.
personally I don't care about the recolors as much I just wish they would make the toys look a little ore accurate.
but marketing people are always kind of stupid about what people actually want.
though honestly I kid of like the blue-ish one //shrug
