Sometimes, my least favorite weapons, are just bad weapons... This is probably the one of the bigger ones.

The Overdose, came out during the Uber update, and is part of a set with, The Quick-Fix, and the Solemn Vow. While those two, are decent weapons (I still love the Quick-Fix though) , this one came out a bit weird.

For a penalty of 10% damage, (Making your maximum output, 11 hp per shot) you get 1% speed, for every 10% charge, meaning at full charge, your speed, will change from medic's base of 107%, to 117%. However, in order to have this effect, you must have the Overdose, out.

Medic, is the 2nd fastest class, only being beaten by scout. If you need to get to the front lines, it won't take as long as other classes. I do understand, that this is a good weapon, if you want to escape a bad situation, but your needles won't really deter anyone from attacking you, when at long range, they only do about 9 damage.

This weapon, seems to be a gimmick weapon, like the Air Strike: It's only good, if you use the weapon it was released with. Because the Overdose, shines with the Quick-Fix, being able to instantly pick up an uber, and just run with it out. But the damage, is really laughable, and medic already doesn't have much firepower with him.

Normally, I would also add some in-game experience, but I haven't picked this thing up, since it's release, and don't see a lot of medics use it. Out of the set, the Quick-Fix is probably the better weapon, as you can move as fast as anyone faster (And surprisingly, most of the offensive classes, are in this group), and the Vow, is a nice feature to see enemy health.

So yeah. It's a bleh weapon. Waiting on those specific two, to chime in on this....like they do...
