Name: Peccantum (Latin for 'Sin')
Age: Young adult
Species: Startouched Elf
Gender: Male

Backstory: Peccantum was once a promising young student at a startouch academy before he broke his arcanum, the source of his magic. He was cast out of his school and has been wandering Xadia, looking for a cure to his 'condition' and for evidence to his conspiracy theories.
Personality: Peccantum can be a jerk, especially to those just trying to help him, but in reality he's very lost in his life. Learning and Magic were his life, and now he's directionless. Beyond that, he's stubborn when it come to a problem. He will run headfirst into a difficult or interesting issue and work on it until he find the solution. (This can be an issue when there is no solution.) He's also very curious and reads a lot to answer his questions.
Appearance: After breaking his arcanum, he wrapped his markings in bandages and began to wear robes and cloaks more often. His hair darkened and every star on his body turned black, so it was very apparent what had happened. Even after his condition was revealed, he still feels self conscious about his markings, so keeps them wrapped.

Fun Facts!
-He was a very gifted student, often passing his teacher's expectations. He gained a lot of praise for his hard work and dedication, making him a bit arrogant. That pride quickly dissolved after 'breaking'.
-His left shoulder is scarred badly. When he was a student, he was experimenting with a particularly dangerous spell and, of course, things went badly. His teacher advised him to give up on the project, but Peccantum refused. As soon as he was able, he retried the spell, this time succeeding.
-Peccantum often sleeps in libraries or public areas while traveling. He rarely sleeps at all, but tries to do it in a place where he feels safe if he has to.
-He wasn't always known as Peccantum. His previous name was Conciliatus, but no one known him by that. Peccantum was the name given to him because he 'sinned' badly and broke his arcanum.
-Peccantum has no idea why his arcanum broke. He figures he must have done something. He had to have done SOMETHING to break it. There's no other reason it could be like this right? Right? (This is why he also calls himself Peccantum.)
-The actual reason behind his breaking is that he hit a wall in his studies. There was a problem he became so obsessed with that he forgot everything else. He'd never been stuck on an impossible problem and eventually his world became that problem. Until he woke up one morning to find his markings as dark as the void.
