I have to add this for family, Yakima history. My uncle Jim was part ofthe occupation forces in Japan after the surrender, WWII.

He came back after his two years duty and bought a cool ride, a Duck, surplus.
He went to school, Washington State College, on the GI Bill and met the love
of his life.

They would marry.

They remained married, raised kids, and he was always the athlete. His game was
handball. At age 75 he traveled to Ireland to win the Seniors title, world
champion. He did that after a long bout with prostate cancer. He grew up a
Down-winder from the Hanford nuclear facility on the Columbia River in Washington
state, a kid growing up in the hop yards of his parents and grandparents.
His life story is fascinating, a risk-taker, a dedicated guy.
