Description
I stood next to Rogue and Sting. We all had the same confused looks on our faces. I had seen what was going to happen; I had seen what I was going to change into. I shook my head and quickly jumped out of the way as the dragon swung its tail at me.“So what do you have to tell me (Y/N)?” Rogue asked.
“It can wait; let’s get rid of these dragons.” I said getting in my fighting stance.
He nodded and we started fighting. We all combined our attacks but nothing seemed to work. My dragon slayer magic was barely leaving a scratch on the dragons and they found it amusing. One of them kept mocking Rogue on how he would be over taken by the darkness. I tried to shut the dragon up but I would leave nothing but a dark marking on the dragon.
I stood in between Sting and Rogue. I was tried and puffing. I checked over my hands and the only things on them were the markings I normally got. I gave off a happy sigh and Sting gave me a strange look.
Something strange started happening. Light rose from the dragons in front of us. They started to disappear in front of us. I gave off another sigh and I collapsed to the ground. Sting sat down next to me. Rogue collapsed next to me.
“Acnologia is going to be a nightmare to defeat.” Rogue laughed.
“You wouldn’t know the half of it.” I laughed.
Sting laughed. I looked at Rogue and there was something in his eyes. It looked like regret even guilt.
“Are you okay Rogue?” I asked.
He jumped slightly at my question. He looked at me. “I have to tell you something.” He said shyly.
“I have something to tell you as well. I’m going to hate saying it but it’s the best for the both of us.” I said. “But you can go first.”
Rogue nodded. “That dragon told me what happens to me and I think that I should be alone for a few more years until I’m ready to settle down. I’m not trying to make excuses. I just don’t want to drag you into that world.” Rogue explained.
“I was going to say the same thing. I talked with you from the future and apparently I was meant to change into a dragon today and that a year from now you were meant to do the same. We were still together though and I was thinking maybe we should just stay friends. I know there is a lovely lady in light waiting for you.” I said.
Rogue laughed. “I don’t feel so bad now. I’m glad this is a mutual agreement. But what about your master’s threat?” Rogue asked.
“I have someone else in mind. Someone else that has a good smell.” I said looking at Sting.
He grinned. “I knew you couldn’t stay away from me.” He chuckled as he moved closer to me. “I’m sorry about last night. I shouldn’t have said those things to you.”
I kissed him on the lips. “Shut up and don’t worry about it.” I laughed.
“I think a little light in our lives will be the best for both of us.” Rogue commented.
Erza pulled on the ties at the back of my dress and I couldn’t breathe for a second. We all had been invited to the palace ball. I had picked out a dark blue dress that showed off my cleavage. It was still mating season but unlike the other years I was much calmer.
I walked out into the ball room, it looked amazing. My hair was up in a bun and I felt pretty. Frosch ran over to me with Lector behind him. They both jumped into my arms. Rogue wasn’t too far behind them though he didn’t jump into my arms.
“Fro thinks (Y/N) looks very pretty tonight.” Frosch commented.
I smiled down at him. “Thank you Frosch and Lector I’m overjoyed that you’re still alive.” I said petting his head.
“Thank you (Y/N).” Lector said. “Sting-kun is probably looking for you. He was been jumpy all day.”
Rogue and I laughed. They jumped down and walked off. Rogue smiled at me and I returned it. I felt a little guilty for what I did but it was the best for the both of us.
“Yukino looks very beautiful tonight; maybe you should go and talk with her.” I suggested.
Rogue blushed. “Yeah, I guess so. Thanks (Y/N) for not having hard feelings.” Rogue said before walking off.
I walked over to Gajeel who was stuffing his face with food. He raised an eyebrow at me and passed me some food. I started picking at it when Sting wrapped an arm around me. His hands were filled with glasses and a bottle of orange something. He kissed me on the cheek.
“You look stunning.” He commented. “though that dress would also look good on the floor.” He whispered to me.
I nudged him in the side. “You haven’t even marked me and you’re already thinking about that. Go and find Natsu and celebrate.” I said.
He nodded and disappeared. Laxus moved over to me. He looked my dress up and down. A smile came to his face.
“So what was that with Sting?” He questioned.
“Oh nothing much. I saw you talking to Mirajane before. What was that?” I said taking a glass of wine.
“Nothing, don’t drink too much and stay out of trouble. I don’t want to be pulling you off anyone.” Laxus said before walking off.
A fight broke out about where Yukino was going. It didn’t end well. It was interrupted by the king. Everyone went silent and I felt Sting put his arm around me. The king said a small speech and what his daughter’s punishment was. It wasn’t much of a punishment.
The king finished his speech and everyone went back to talking. Sting placed small kisses on my neck and let out a small giggle.
“Not here Sting.” I said trying to move away from him.
“I can’t help myself.” He laughed as his kisses turned into small bites.
A small groan left my mouth. Sting suddenly but down on my neck. I felt his teeth pierce my skin. I tried to move away but Sting held me place. He pulled away and turned me around.
“You’re not meant to do that in public.” I growled at him.
He laughed. “I know but there are other men here and I want them to know that you’re mine.” Sting said snaking his arm around my shoulder.
The bit mark was a clear as day on my neck. Some people gave me strange looks as Sting led me around the room. Laxus saw the mark on my neck and walked over to us. Sting looked a little nervous.
“What happened to you not having any interest in having a mate?” Laxus asked with a raised eyebrow.
I turned away from him. “That’s none of your business. It looks like you’ve had no luck a wooing Mirajane by the looks of it.” I laughed.
“Quiet shorty.” He said to me. He then turned his attention to Sting. “You, I don’t want you doing any funny business with my little sister.” Laxus threatened before walking off.
Sting looked at me with a confused and slightly worried face. “Was he being serious?” He asked.
I shrugged. “I’m not sure. It’s hard to tell with Laxus sometimes. Don’t worry about it too much.” I said taking a glass of wine off a platter.
Natsu walked over to me and looked at the bite mark on my neck. He leant in and smelt in and his face screwed up. “You smell of Sting, why?” He asked.
I took Sting’s hand. “We are together now, Natsu. Sting is my mate, that’s what the bite mark is for.” I explained.
Natsu cocked his head to the side. “Does that mean you’re moving to Sabertooth?” He asked.
I paused and looked between Sting and Natsu. I hadn’t thought that far ahead. I shrugged. I wanted to be with Sting but then again I wanted to stay with Fairy Tail, they were my family. Makarov walked over to us.
“You are more than welcome to join Sabertooth and still come back to Fairy Tail. You will always be a part of our family (Y/N).” Makarov said.
I gave him a small smile. “I will stay with Fairy Tail for a few more months and sort my things out and then I will transfer to Sabertooth. If that’s okay with both masters.” I said looking between Sting and Makarov.
“Oh the master of Sabertooth would love to have you around.” Sting said.
“And you are more than welcome come back and visit us anytime. I wouldn’t mind you hanging around for the rest of your life but I see that you have matured and you are ready to move on in life. I’m proud of you (Y/N).” Makarov said smiling up at me.
“I never thought this would happen. I’m so happy that you took me in Makarov.” I leant down and hugged him. “I’m going to miss everyone.”
