Description
3 years after i did my [link] it's about time i do another alphaleo's bike art. i started around end of 2007 and i did posed the line art and WIP on my last few uploads and after 6 months on and off i finally managed to get it finished. The biggest achievement i had this time is painting the tire's knots, i have to admit it was the most boring process, even with the magical 'copy and paste' function, it's still proves to tiring and boring. And it's a good thing i still remember to paint all the effects like my previous bike art but with twice among of the details this time. overall i'm glad how the final finishing come out, 6 months of hard work paid off.
Yeah! love the bike, GT Marathon carbon. It's the next Generation GT i-drive bike, with a full group set of the new Shimano XTR, Fox suspension and love the new white GT jersey. I roughly estimate it's overall bike weight is around 24 pound, price wise......forget it........ i don't think i can even afford it, i can only wished in my dream riding it.
lastly, Jetix project was finally done! another achievement to be added up to my portfolio.
Some minor updates, i rework the eyes that some people commented it's too flat, and some logo changes.
new, version 2.0 [link]

Holy Crap!!! I mean..... The amount of detail on this pic is amazing! I mean. Wow! Looking at your art is like, how much I still have to learn on photoshop. I'm relatively new to photoshop. I mean it's like i'm just started to build little rockets, while you drive the freaken starship Enterprize! (It's what i think) Wow! I mean just by looking at this lets me know how much I've have to learn. But, don't get me wrong! I'm encouraged! This shows me what it's possible and what I could soon learn to do.

When I saw the thumbnail, even when I saw the small version of the image, I thought it was a real picture, someone in a fursuit riding a bike. I have to say, I am really impressed.

on the fullveiw, I can see very clearly that it is a painting, it doesn't look anything like a photo-manipulation when you really look at it.

Was this done totally digitally or was it based on a photograph or sketch? This is unbelievable work with extraordinary talent and stamina. Very, very cool 8).

That really is absolutely amazing 8). I can totally see why it took six months to hash out. Digital art looks like a painstaking, gradual but ultimately rewarding field, however it seems a bit too intimidating for little me. I'm more a pencil and paper type and I'm not sure I could handle the wealth of gorgeous opportunities the CG world would afford me. I think with all the ideas I have that I'd suffer an aneurysm and die .

Makes sense . I didn't know you did this professionally, in which case it all seems right, but nonetheless it still seems like an incredible thing to be able to do. I generally haven't been the type to be too keen on the patience issue, more concerned with what it is that I'm drawing, the actual subject, the idea, than the method. I fully understand, however, that the more realistic depiction and detailed care taken on a project breathes even that much more life into it, but often times I simply want to roll on the next one.
